So here I was all barely alive, getting ready for work, reading some game news… and wha? Mario is 25 today! 9/13/85 is when Super Mario Bros. was released in Japan. This is great news. I’m very happy this franchise is still going. Now I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not crazy about all of the Mario games (I’m looking at you, Sunshine) but the majority of them I love.
Personal fav, Super Mario World. I never had a SNES until late in it’s lifeline (I had a Genesis,) but a lot of my friends had them and I loved going to their houses to play SMW. Fantastic game.
Happy Birthday Mario. Keep it going another 25.
