Kinect is in the news

Checking in the news today, there are a LOT of headlines about Kinect. It’s a little over 2 weeks away before launch, and its what is being talked about now. Apparently, Microsoft is spending around $500 Million on its advertising campaign to get the word out. Personally, I’m excited about it, but I can wait a little bit for some better games to come out… Here is what is lined up so far.

November 4th (launch day)
-Kinectimals
-Your Shape: Fitness Evolved
-Dance Central
-The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout
-DanceMasters
-Kinect Sports
-Motion Sports
-Kinect Joyride
-Alrenalin Misfits
-Fighters Uncaged
-Sonic Free Riders

November 16th
-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
-EA Sports Active 2

November 18th
-Game Party: In Motion
-Zumba Fitness

Sometime in the Holidays
-Deca Sports Freedom

Not the greatest lineup for someone who doesn’t care about sports, dancing, or fitness. I got the chance to play both Kinect Sports, and Kinect Joyride earlier this year. Kinect Sports had me do a track & field hurdles game (which I failed a LOT at.) and Joyride had me do this weird jumping/ducking/moving back and forth/failing and busting me ass… game (see below, and feel free to help boost my self-esteem by joining in all the Youtube commenters who like to make fun of a fat guy… thanks…)

Anyway, until I see Steel Battalion, I might just have to pass my time with… maybe Sonic Free Riders? I might just buy the Kinect, and GameFly up a game or two here and there… who knows. Anyway… Non-sports/dancing/fitness games Sonic Free Riders and Fighters Uncaged can be shown below… followed by me busting my ass in Kinect Joyride (If also shows some gameplay aspects of it… ya thats it…)
