Playstation 4 coming next year?

This one still needs to be HIGHLY regarded in the Rumor category… but that isn’t stopping it from popping up all over the internets right now.  Word from news site, DigiTimes, is that Sony is readying the Playstation 4 to be released NEXT YEAR.  That’s 2012, people.  The complete story being that Digitimes got word from “Taiwanese component makers” that Chinese suicide-factory Foxconn, and Taiwanese manufacturer Pegatron will begin manufacturing the PS4 by the end of the year, for it to be shipped next year.  Oh, and for a little insight on possible updates to the system, it will have a built-in Kinect-esque motion control functionality added to it.

This would technically be on track as far as timing from the PS2 > PS3, so it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility.  I would certainly hope Sony has remembered the mountain of mistakes they have made with the PS3 while designing the PS4.
