PS3 firmware 3.70 released, 8 people are happy about it

Great news if you are one of the 8 people who have a PS3 with Playstation Plus!  PS3 version 3.70 is out now… and if you don’t have Playstation Plus, like the majority of people… you don’t care.  Some new exciting features:

  • Automatic cloud saving/automatic trophy synching… if you have PS Plus
  • Share your recommended games with your PSN friends… That’s OK, personally I don’t like people telling me what to do… A MAN CHOOSES and all…
  • A new addition to the XMB called TV/Video services, which houses Netflix, Hulu, and VUDU.  OK, that’ll help clean things up.  This will include a “My Channels” folder for any saved settings.
And the rest involves 3D Blu-Ray… which no one buys, but here it is.
  • “3D support will now be available when accessing Java-based special features on Blu-Ray
  • DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HR decoding/bit stream output (or lossless audio) will be supported while playing Blu-ray 3D movies.
  • 3D digital photos in MPO format can now be viewed in 3D on the XMB and in the Photo Gallery app.”
Enjoy?
