The Spike #VGA award nominees are out again *sighs*

Spike has done it again, ladies and gentlemen.  Even though they are a laughing stock throughout the video game industry, they keep pushing forward with year after year of embarrassing themselves with their Video Game Awards.  As with last year, here are your nominations.  You may now commence forehead slapping.  

And the nominees are (and keep in mind I’m copying straight from Joystiq here… that’s a LOT of typing man…:)

GAME OF THE YEAR
Batman: Arkham City
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – It came out THIS WEEK, and already a nomination for GOY?
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – This game ISN’T EVEN OUT YET!
Portal 2 – If it were up to me, Portal 2 wins this year.  Amazing game.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

STUDIO OF THE YEAR
Bethesda Game Studios – Skyrim JUST CAME OUT… not to mention the Mojang lawsuit debacle… Studio of the year???

Valve – Also nominated for most stolen franchises, and most games released that AREN’T Half-Life 2: Episode 3!

BEST PS3 GAME - Wait a sec… Portal 2 is in the 360/PC/GOY categories… but NOT the PS3 category?  Are they just drawing names out of a hat?
inFAMOUS 2 – …really?… inFAMOUS2?  Why not just put up Resistance 3 as there is NO WAY in hell that game is going to win either.  They should just call it the “Uncharted 3 award”
