Before tons of MMOs go free-to-play, or free up to a certain level, they usually offer a free trial offer for a limited amount of time. Next up, is Star Wars: The Old Republic’s turn to try and grab more subscribers. The “friend’s trial” program begins this week. With that, any subscriber can invite up to 3 of their friends to give SWTOR a test run for 7 days. In that span of time, believe me, it is VERY possible to enjoy the game… and possibly want more of it. This is the free sample of MMO-crack that Bioware and EA are wanting to dangle in front of your friends to get an extra $15 a month from all three of them. As a current subscriber, myself… I can’t say you will be disappointed. It is a great game. *You want to sign up*

*UPDATE*
The SWTOR friend’s trial IS BACK! News from SWTOR is that due to the success of the friend’s trial, us subscribers are now allowed to invite up to 25 PEOPLE into the game. So… here’s how we will handle this. AS OF TODAY (ignoring previous comments, just in case they already had their chance) leave a comment below and I’ll toss out the invites while they last.
