#E32012 News: Assassin’s Creed Liberation to be Revealed for Vita

Yet more news that Game Informer is revealing before this Monday (Ubisoft’s press conference, which this is sure to crash) is the news of another Assassin’s Creed game currently being made.  Titled Assassin’s Creed Liberation, the game will be the first in the series to be released on the PS Vita.  According to users on NeoGAF who leaked the story, we also have some details about the game:

  • The game will release on 10/30/12, the same day that Assassin’s Creed III will release.
  • It is being developed by Ubisoft Sofia
  • The game takes place in multiple locations starting in New Orleans, and going across the Gulf of Mexico
  • The setting is near the end of the French and Indian War, which places it within a few years of Assassin’s Creed 3 (1775)
  • This would be the first time a Female Assassin is starring in the game.  Her name is Aveline, and she is a part-African/part-French Assassin
  • The game will include multiplayer
  • Similar to Assassin’s Creed 3, this game will include wildlife like Alligators
  • And the game will have large open areas with no load times

We also have some scans from the Game Informer article as well:

Overall, I’d say this is great news, as I’m a big fan of the Assassin’s Creed games.  Now I just need to do that whole “buy a Vita” thing…
