OHSNAP! Game Informer updated on their site today the latest cover of their magazine that will release this Monday (6/4.) It will reveal the name, and first information about the next Gears of War game! Holy crap! Now, Monday is also the day before E3 begins, and also the date of the Microsoft press conference… so Microsoft will probably announce this anyway. But, at least you now have your teaser image to tide you over until Monday!

It is now revealed that Epic’s little brother and Bulletstorm developer, People Can Fly, has been tied to this game. Epic wasn’t kidding when they said they were working on other projects. Hell, I’ll take another Gears game over Bulletstorm 2.

And the updates keep coming in. We now have more info on the game itself. It is called “Gears of War: Judgement.” And, we now know who at least 2 of the starring roles will go to…

Now, if you also notice the lefthand side of the Cole pic, showing the back of the cover… see those Locust? This definitely isn’t THAT far back of a prequel… Everyone thought this might be covering the Pendulum Wars. But, since the Locust weren’t around back then, we are looking to at least the possibility of… not-too-far-after Emergence Day? Gears 1 took place 14 years after Emergence Day, so sometime between that I assume?
